I'm using a new Markdown editor I just found out about - MWeb to write and upload this post. I'm using the 'Lite' version as a trial for now to see how useful it will be. Primary use for this editor will be as a note-taking app and as a note organiser on my Mac. I wanted something lightweight and fast as other apps I have been using like Evernote and OneNote are beginning to get a bit laggy.

If you, like me, work with multiple monitors, and are annoyed with the major operating systems' (Windows, Mac OS) lack of support in terms of extending the task/menu bar natively, at the very least, you might find these two free applications like a blessing. There are paid applications on Windows like Actual Multiple Monitors but for me the price for what I need (just a task/menubar showing open applications, and application icons) is just too much. And both these free apps are more than adequate for what I need, you might even want to donate a few bucks for each of these apps if you like them. So here they are:

Dual Monitor Taskbar (Win 7): http://sourceforge.net/projects/dualmonitortb/
